Greetings!
I can't believe that this is my last message as President. What an amazing year for our small but mighty group of dedicated men and women. I do believe our community is a bit better with all the hard work you have put into this last year. Our events have provided funds to assist people to find jobs, to provide toys to homeless children and to assist women fleeing domestic violence. We even supported pets of domestic violence households to be kept safe and warm until they can be reclaimed by their families. We had a great Fashion Show in April with Nancy Ladd at the helm guiding us through a fun and entertaining event. Tram Phan organized our first social event in a very long time and it too was a huge success! Our golf tournament raised $2,600 for Grossmont College OPT program, and we had so much fun just hanging out with our colleagues and friends. Cheena Malicki organized our holiday event this year and worked very hard to make it a successful event with good food, friendship and song! For me, this past year was a growing experience. I learned a lot about myself. I learned that when you have a responsibility to others, no matter what happens you turn and face adversity with honor and integrity. I had a whole group of "wing women and wing men" that provided support, encouragement, and gave me their honest feedback when I needed it most. Leading any group is a team effort and it has been a privilege for me to be among such amazing people. PWI is comprised of individuals with such a high level of character that ensures whatever this group does, is done with care, honesty and class. I thank you all for a job well done! That being said, I want to publicialy thank PWI in giving me the honor of "Insurance Professional of the Year" for 2010. To be recognized by your peers is truly humbling, but to be given this recognition by people I so admire, is even more overwhelming and I sincerely thank you. Mark your calendars for January 14, 2011 @ 7:30 a.m.for our installation breakfast event. I know that you will all want to join me in support and friendship to our new incoming Board. Besty Johnson will be the 2011 President, and Tram Phan her President - Elect. I look forward to seeing you there. Happy New Year and may 2011 be filled with good health, joy and peace on earth. Next Event - Installation of Officers Breakfast
Our January 14th meeting is a breakfast meeting where we install officers for 2011 and thank the outgoing board for their hard work in 2010.

Holiday Breakfast- Update
It was great to share in this year's Annual Holiday Breakfast. I believe it was a great success and that is because we have such great members with big hearts that are so generous. Thank you all for coming out, buying raffle tickets and making so many donations in such hardship times. I know many of us have had to make sacrifices at home but you still found something to give back to the women and children trying to make a new beginning. It is greatly appreciated.
Again Susan Parker with Lockton was our number one seller of raffle tickets. She raised over $250 for our charities. Thank you Susan!!
Thanks again to State Fund for being our Guardian Angel, and to all our sponsors for helping us to meet the many needs in our community - Access E&S Insurance Services, AFCO, BB&T Insurance Services, GS Levine, RE Chaix & Associates, San Diego Insurance Staffing, and Imperial Credit Corp.
The charities could not say enough about all of you and your continued support of their organizations. They are truly grateful. We will share our final numbers in January.
A special thanks to Cathi Marx for lining up our entertainment and providing our center pieces, to Julie Brown for printing the table tents, programs and being the bug in my ear to remind me of all the details that needed to taken care of.

Golf Tournament for 2011 - Need Help!
It is with great pleasure that I will again be the golf chair for 2011. I am requesting golf volunteers to help me earlier than later this year. We have had a tournament for over 20 years and I would love for us to have over 100 golfers and spa-ers. I am recruiting volunteers to make phone calls now and I'd like to be ready for I-day in May with brochures listing committed sponsors. Julie Brown is stepping down as the behind the scenes person that made it really happen successfully with printing the Golf Brochures, table top sponsor cards, the power point, and taking reservations so I need a great volunteer that can take her place. Please email me if you are interested in helping this year so I can start the planning process. Thank you in advance, I am looking forward to 2011.
